ORLANDO, January 15, 2010 - At the Florida Educational Technology Conference (FETC), the non-profit education researcher and publisher MIND Research Institute announced their latest innovations in elementary mathematics education. MIND Research, winner of the EdNet Pioneer Award in 2008, previewed their new web-delivered Integrated Instructional System featuring their neuroscience based instructional math software for K-5. This announcement was coupled with the introduction of their new ST Math®: Fluency software for basic math facts.
eduTecher was created in late 2007. The website's main purpose is to help educators and schools around the world effectively integrate technology, including the wonderful tools on the vast World Wide Web, into the classroom. eduTecher provides links to thousands of Web Tools and provides concise information on how these tools may be useful in the classroom setting. The site's goal is simple: contribute to the academic world, without charging membership fees for the users or promoting specific software and hardware products through commercial advertising.
DOHA: In line with its efforts to increase the use of Assistive Technology in Qatar and the Arabic speaking world, Mada (Qatar Assistive Technology Center) yesterday launched the Mada Reader Writer, an important and easy to use educational tool for learners with special needs.
APTE's new Literacy Suite is a collection of applications & teacher resources designed to meet the needs of visual learners. The program is aimed at special education. Prompts is a software application for the iPhone and iPod Touch. Designed especially for parents, special educators & therapists, iPrompts allows for the presentation of customized picture schedules, "social stories," countdown timers and choice offerings to those with developmental and language impairments. The visual supports packed into iPrompts are used to help get those with special needs through the day. Costs $75.
